Hello and welcome back to another year of Artists of Legend x Linktober! Linktober is one of my favorite Zelda-themed events of the year and I love getting to celebrate with the Zelda Dungeon and Linktober communities. If you are hearing about Linktober for the very first time then you can read more about it in this article, but for now let’s showcase some of the amazing artwork from the first week of Linktober. This week’s features will be pull from the Main Calendar prompts, but I’ll be pulling artwork from the other calendars throughout the month too so stay tuned.

Week one on the Main Calendar saw creators taking on the themes of “merchant”, “temple”, “friend/helper/companion”, “sage”, “species/race”, “mask”, and “sky/sky islands”.

Day 1 took creators among a myriad of “Merchants” and heyheyitsjoeyj on Instagram gave her prompt a little bit of a twist by crafting a merchant character from their Zelda comic!

alexapillustration on Instagram gives us a beautiful stained glass illustrated piece depicting The Wind Waker‘s Tower of the God’s for Day 2’s “Temple” prompt.

Day 3 saw everyone looking at their favorite “Companion/Helper/Friend” and laine-o (@LaineO_Art) on Twitter illustrated The Lord of the Mountain and Blupee.

Day 4 saw creators looking back on the many “Sages” that have been part of the Zelda universe and Chokko (@_chokkokat) on Twitter shows us a beautifully illustration of the Zora Princess, Ruto.

Day 5 we took a look at the diverse “Species/Races” from The Legend of Zelda and hik.masao on Instagram gives us another beautifully drawn Zora, but this time it’s Yona from Tears of the Kingdom.

Day 6 creator’s put their “Masks” on and explored this popular piece of Zelda imagery. Alexa (@GerudoMagi) on Twitter gives us a colorful and most fierce looking image of Link wearing the Fierce Diety Mask.

And finally, to round our the first week of what looks like to be an amazing Linktober, artists and creators take to the “Sky/Sky Islands” for Day 7. Linktober is open and celebrates all creativity for the event and what better way to celebrate other outlets of art than by sharing an ode from Artistic Momma (@flutefemme) on Twitter.

There you have it! What a wonderful first week of Zelda themed artwork from so many amazing artists! Want a chance to be featured? Be sure that you are using the hashtags #Artistsoflegend AND #Linktober so we can see your creations.
