Last September, Nintendo unveiled an “Expansion Pack” for Nintendo Switch Online which added many Nintendo 64 titles to the subscription service. Ocarina of Time was added at launch, alongside some Mario games and several SEGA Genesis titles. During the September Direct event, Nintendo also mentioned that other N64 games, like Majora’s Mask, would be added in a future update. Well, friends, the time is here: Majora’s Mask will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online in February!

Nintendo of America tweeted today confirming that we will be receiving Majora’s Mask next month, though no specific date was mentioned. There were no mentions of additional games being released in February, but it appears that games (like Banjo-Kazooie) are still being added on a regular basis. You can stay up to date with new games being added to Nintendo Switch Online via Nintendo of America’s Twitter.

I am incredibly excited to have Majora’s Mask coming to Switch, though I am a bit hesitant. Many fans were not impressed with the port of Ocarina of Time, as the game had graphical issues and input lag. In my opinion, I found the button-mapping in that game to be quite odd, and that factor took away some of the enjoyment of experiencing Ocarina of Time for the first time on the Switch. However, I am still excited for Majora’s Mask. I hope that the lag issue has been fixed and that Nintendo took their time correcting any graphical issues.

I know what I’ll be doing this coming February, but what about you? Will you be playing Majora’s Mask on Nintendo Switch Online? Let us know in the comments below!
