Nintendo 64 Games Are Coming to Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo Switch Online is receiving an “Expansion Pack!” Fans have been hoping and speculating that the online gaming service will expand its roster of games. And now the news is official: classic Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis games are soon coming to Nintendo Switch Online in October!
Announced during today’s Nintendo Direct, this Expansion Pack will act as a new membership plan, separate from the other membership plans that are currently offered. Current Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will be able to change their current membership over to the Expansion Pack when it is available. Details regarding an exact launch date and pricing will be revealed at a later date.
For now, we can be excited over some of the games that will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online! The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be available as part of the Expansion Pack at launch, alongside popular N64 games like Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64. And let’s not also forget that popular SEGA Genesis games like Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be available at launch too. Additional Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis titles, such as The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, will be making their way to the online platform in the future as well.
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will be available in late October.
