Affiliation

At Zelda Dungeon, we value our affiliation and partnerships with websites very highly. While the term 'affiliation' is rarely ever used properly in fan communities, below are the requirements for each of the groupings. You may ask yourself a few questions about the affiliation policy.

Why are there so many groupings?
The easy answer is that we have a ton of affiliates. I rarely ever like to reject any site for affiliation because I feel any website is deserving of a chance. Thus, if you are a Zelda website, the way the affiliation requirements are broken down, the harder you work, the higher you can be ranked in the affiliate rankings.

So where do Gaming Sites fit into this grouping?
Gaming sites on the other hand are limited to one site per series for the higher group. This groupings major purpose is to provide information on the respective major game series that the site covers. We have a Metroid and a Final Fantasy website in this grouping. If we partner with a second Final Fantasy website that is much larger than the Metroid site, they won't be accepted into the higher grouping. The higher ranking is limited to just 1 site per game series. Any gaming site that just covers general gaming, or a second site from a respective series will be placed in the second grouping of gaming sites.

How do all these sites fit without being smudged together?
The way the layout is setup, on the index page of the site, we have an empty right side that is dedicated strictly towards our affiliates. This gives a huge area to display tons of sites with many having 88*31 buttons. However, this is only available on the site index page. On every other page, text links will be available at the very bottom of the site, but space is limited in that area. Thus you see the limitations of '20' in the groups below.

What about sites that are primarily just forums?
We have no problem affiliating with sites that are strictly forums, however, more is expected out of these types of sites than normal sites. This is one of the few cases where pure size of a website outweighs potential. Basically, if have a brand new message board, and your site is strictly a forum, I won't accept you. However, if your site is primarily a forum but it is quite large and active, you have a good chance to make it as an affiliate. Likewise, the same policy is in effect for the different rankings.
