Zelda Theorists Unite to Discuss Story of The Champions’ Ballad, Breath of the Wild Timeline Placement Reveal

Breath of the Wild‘s next DLC pack, The Champions’ Ballad, is still expected to release before the end of the year, but with such little information revealed about the new expansion, the Zelda fan community has been hot with questions. What will the story of The Champions’ Ballad look like? How will the DLC expand the series’ lore? And will the new story content reveal Breath of the Wild‘s placement in the official Zelda timeline? An all-star team of Zelda YouTubers recently addressed some of these questions in an intriguing theory video.

This new theory video, uploaded by Commonwealth Realm, is one in a three-part collaboration between Commonwealth, HMK, and Zeltik. The three prominent Zelda theorists present the possibility that The Champions’ Ballad will reveal where Breath of the Wild fits in the official timeline. Using this potential narrative reveal as a starting point, the team then discusses their predictions for The Champions’ Ballad story, including the events and characters that will contribute to the big timeline revelations. While so much uncertainty surrounds the expansion, they do come to a consensus that Princess Zelda will play a crucial role in the revealing Breath of the Wild‘s timeline placement.
