With the release of the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and its impact on the series as a whole, questions have been brought up regarding the future of the Zelda series. Nintendo has confirmed that future Zelda titles will be similar gameplay-wise to Breath of the Wild, but we still don’t know what these games will ultimately look like. Zeltik, HMK, and Commonwealth Realm, YouTube theorists and commentators known for talking about the Zelda series, recently gave their answer to this question as part of a three-part collaboration between the three channels.
The team discusses the potential of a Majora’s Mask-style sequel to Breath of the Wild, in which the original’s engine and assets are used to create a sequel that could introduce even more features of the Switch. They also discuss mixing Breath of the Wild‘s open world with more traditional Zelda tropes and possibly bringing multiplayer to future Zelda games.
But what do you guys think the future of the Zelda series will hold? Let us know in the comments below!
