Zelda Fanart Spotlight – TLoZ: Deku Tree

Today’s Zelda Fanart Spotlight is on Deviantart artist zefy‘s “TLoZ: Deku Tree”. This piece of fanart depicts one of the most memorable scenes in Ocarina of Time: the scene where Link encounters the Great Deku Tree for the first time in the game. Link has his Kokiri Sword and Deku Shield and is about to enter the Great Deku Tree in order to help cleanse him from this curse that the evil Ganondorf has put on him. Sadly though even when Link does cleanse him of the curse, the Great Deku Tree still succumbs to it but not until he passes on the Kokiri Emerald and imparts Link to find the Princess Zelda.
The colors that the artist uses to portray this scene fit it very well and the way that sunlight is filtered through the Great Deku Tree’s leaves are shown excellently. The artist did justice to this memorable scene and I commend her for the awesome work.
