Though not one of the biggest bosses in the Zelda series, Phantom Ganon is definitely a character that has not shown up a whole lot in the franchise. Essentially a shadow clone of the one and only Ganon, this phantom variation only shows up to essentially toy around with Link. Thanks to one Zelda fan we can see how Phantom Ganon has only really changed more in power, not design.

In a recent video, BeardBear posted up a close look at the evolution of Phantom Ganon. Surprisingly enough, this phantom form has only gotten one redesign, and has only been in two main title Zelda games (Ocarina of Time and The Wind Waker). The only other two games in the series that he has been in include Four Swords Adventures and Hyrule Warriors Legends.

What does make Phantom Ganon interesting is that every game he does show up in some way with new attacks. Phantom’s most basic attack of course is the game of tennis you play with him using a ball of energy. Other games have Phantom Ganon using clones of himself, as well as actually using his sword to strike you.
