I’ve tackled a bunch of unique Zelda covers here for Zelda Dungeon/Informer; I’ve tackled reworks arranged with floppy disk drives, ukuleles, and people using only their voice for all the instruments. But this one is a first for me. I had no clue what kind of instrument/device a Launchpad was before covering this story, but, after doing some research, I found that it is just a modern-day electronic music mixer.

Regardless of my findings, we have for you today a very unique way of performing a Zelda cover with OmegaVibe’s rendition of the Clock Town theme from Majora’s Mask on the Launchpad. Using well-timed instrumental button presses, Omega pulls off an interesting performance of this classic song. Be sure to check out more from OmegaVibe. Other pieces of Zelda music he’s done launchpad covers for include the Song of Storms, Song of Time, and Zelda’s Lullaby.

What did you think of this cover? Will you be checking out anymore of OmegaVibe’s work? Let us know in the comments below!
