The beloved handheld gaming system, the Nintendo 3DS, has officially been discontinued, the company announced Thursday. All 3DS models, including the the New 3DS LL, New 2DS LL, and 2DS, are listed as “out of production” on Nintendo’s Japanese website, and references to the device have disappeared from Nintendo’s US site.

Since Nintendo’s move to the 3DS brand (rather than its predecessor, the DS) in 2011, the hardware has reached sales of 75 million consoles and 385 million game purchases. During its tenure, the 3DS became a destination for Zelda fans, offering access to 13 individual game titles from the franchise. While A Link Between Worlds and Tri Force Heroes were technically the only two dedicated 3DS games to be released, the 3DS Virtual Console, NES collection, and backwards compatibility with DS games gave Zelda fans a veritable treasure trove of access on the device.

Nintendo will now focus exclusively on supporting the Switch; the hybrid nature of the console has made the 3DS obsolete, particularly with the availability of the Switch Lite.
