Tears of the Kingdom Nominated for Five Awards at The Game Awards, Including Game of the Year

The nominations are in, and voting is now open for this year’s Game Awards. Nominations for this year’s games started rolling in earlier this afternoon, and Tears of the Kingdom has been nominated for five awards, including the coveted title of Game of the Year.
In addition to Game of the Year, Tears of the Kingdom has also been nominated for Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Score and Music, and Best Action/Adventure. Hopefully Tears of the Kingdom will follow Breath of the Wild‘s 2017 win for Game of the Year. The highly anticipated sequel has been revered by fans and critics alike. It’s sure to have a good night at this year’s Game Awards and bring home some well deserved accolades.
Tears of the Kingdom has a lot of competition ahead for this year’s Game of the Year. The sequel is up against other powerhouses like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, Resident Evil 4, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder. All of these games shine in their own right, but Zelda fans have high hopes for Tears of the Kingdom to come out on top.
The Game Awards will stream live on multiple social media and gaming platforms on December 7th at 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT. Be sure to cast your votes for your favorite games at The Game Awards website right here before showtime!
