Original: The release date for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is fast approaching and fans across the world are not-so-patiently waiting for the day they can finally play the game. What better way to keep the itch at bay than a photo op with the Tears of the Kingdom Link statue? Fans in Japan will have the chance to do just that if they attend Niconico Chokaigi 2023, a festival which boasts a photo spot dedicated to the iconic statue. The event will be held at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall, one of the largest convention centers in Chiba, Japan. Notably, physical access opens from April 29th – April 30th, 2023 but the conference will run online from April 22nd until April 30th, 2023.

The statue of Link was first seen at Nintendo Live 2022, which also took place in Japan. Link is seen in phenomenal life-size detail, garbed in his Champion’s Tunic, the Master Sword sheathed on his back, and his arm glowing an eerie mix of green and blue. Fans also went wild for the statue when it recently appeared at PAX East in March 2023, each vying to get their own photo with our favorite hero.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases May 12th, 2023.
