In Ocarina of Time, the main mechanic of the game was that it allowed you to go 7 years into the future and back, in order to become either a child or adult to solve specific puzzles throughout Hyrule. And in Majora’s Mask, you have a three-day timer over your heads the entire game. The choice is yours to go back to the first day, though it’s highly suggested (seeing as you won’t get very far without going back). Both…

That’s right!! We’re less than 3 days away from the 2015 Zelda Dungeon Marathon!! Most of the attending staff are making their final preparations for traveling, packing up clothes and equipment and everything else that we need to pull off a marathon of this magnitude. We have quite a bit planned for this year’s marathon, so hit the jump for some details.

Zelda has seen some pretty tense moments before, but if you’ve experienced this one I’m sure you can relate (at least somewhat). In Skyward Sword, the player had to undergo trials involving the collection of the goddesses’ tears, while being timed on how quickly he/she may get it done. If that player is unable to find more and lets the timer go down, you can only hope that the frenzy it brings them to is enough to lead them to…

Recently, I had talked about whether or not the Picori should return in future Zelda titles. But as most of you have stated, they already are in most Zelda games- you just can’t see them. But what would you say if you were able to see the idea of Kinstones brought into newer Zelda games…?  Kinstones were a great mechanic in The Minish Cap, and I’m sure many fans enjoyed it- that’s what this Gossip Stone is about.  I’ll be…

As much we as we all hoped that Zelda Wii U was going to be showcased at E3 this year, we all knew deep down that it wasn’t going to happen, and it didn’t. However, just because it wasn’t showcased at E3 doesn’t mean that the hype for it has died down. In today’s Gossip Stone I’m going to be talking about Zelda Wii U, particularly how much of it should be revealed before it’s released. So far all we…

So, how did everyone like E3? Have any opinions on it? I know I do, but we can talk about that later- let’s get to the Gossip Stone! In A Link Between Worlds, there was the option to rent items if you didn’t have enough rupees to purchase it- however, there’s a catch. Simply renting an item means that if all of Link’s hearts are depleted and you’re greeted with the Game Over screen, all the items you have on…

This morning (to our surprise) held the announcement that Hyrule Warriors will soon make its way to 3DS. And just barely afterwards, a video has been published showing the comparison between the 3DS and the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors, by Nintendo World Report- and you can check it out after the jump! Liam OrthHeyo. My name’s Liam! And I’m a huge Zelda fanatic. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been in love with Zelda’s rich stories and…

A few months ago, Aonuma announced in an update video that Zelda U was not only delayed (so to speak), but also that it wasn’t going to make it to E3 this year. I’m sure the majority of you were all bummed, while maybe a few others accepted the fact that waiting longer will make the game better (I know I’m in that boat). However, regardless of how we all feel of the situation, there is a chance we’re still…

In Phantom Hourglass, there was an extra little mechanic introduced that allowed the ability to switch between fairies, giving Link the option between one of three special powers. These fairies were known as the Servant Spirits, the guides that Link must find in order to find the Ghost Ship. They’re required to complete the main story line, but they do have the capability to be much more. I’m going to go a bit further into detail with them, explaining what…

The puzzles we get to solve in the Legend of Zelda franchise are unlike any puzzles we have ever seen. From the start of the game, all the way up until the very end these puzzles get progressively harder. Puzzles are there to make dungeons harder. They add a lot of challenge to what would normally be a simple task. Seeing a block right in front of an otherwise unreachable ledge wouldn’t be any fun, would it? Wouldn’t you rather have…
