Just like in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there will be a masterpiece mode in which you can play the classic games from which the fighters in Smash originate. In the newest iteration of Smash, there are two Legend of Zelda games included, those games being…

We’ve just uploaded footage to our YouTube channel showing exactly how all the Zelda items in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U work, and it’s certainly amazing; they look and feel way better than they did on the 3DS, and it’s great to finally see exactly how they’ll shape up on the Wii U version of the game.

The list of items includes old classics like the Heart Container and the Bunny Hood, as well as tons of new ones, like the Beetle, Fairy Bottle, and the famous Cuccoo…

With the release of the fantastic The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart DLC last week for Mario Kart 8, it’s clear that Nintendo has come to terms with a feature of modern gaming that many of us love to hate. While those who have played the aforementioned pack are unlikely to say this was a mistake, this Friday will see the release of a new Nintendo experiment in North America; and it’s name is amiibo…

BitBlock, a website that constantly uploads HD footage of 3DS and Wii U games for our enjoyment, just gave us tons of great new footage from the Stage Builder and the All Star Mode in Smash Bros. Wii U, and it looks absolutely stunning.

As we know, the All Star Mode in this game is very similar to the one in the 3DS version, with the simple change that the order of characters has been reversed; rather than fight the older characters, like Pacman and Mario, first, and progressing to the newer fighters, you start with the newest fighters and slowly go down.

The Stage Builder, on the other hand, has gone through a complete overhaul…

An interesting addition to the upcoming release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is the Gamecube adapter, which some lucky gents already have their hands on. Since most hardcore Smash Bros. fans love playing with the Gamecube controller this should be an interesting addition to the line of accessories purchasers will be getting their hands on in as little as one week.

Ben Bertoli, creator of ClassRealm, a platform for teachers to introduce ‘gamification’ into the classroom, was one of the lucky…

As most people that follow Nintendo-related news will know, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be releasing stateside in less than one week. Quite a few news outlets, including us here at Zelda Informer, have received a review copy of the above mentioned game. One website which has steadily been releasing information about one of the most anticipated games of 2014 is IGN, with videos being the platform they frequent the most.

Today, they released a video…

Nintendo recently gave us tons of information on the new Amiibo figurines in a video, and finally announced the release date for these figures in North America and Europe.

It seems that, in Europe, the next wave of Amiibos will be split between two release dates; the first section, containing Rosalina, Bowser, Lucario, Toon Link, Sheik, and Ike will be released on January 23rd, and the second section, containing Shulk, Sonic, Megaman, King Dedede, and Meta Knight will come out on February 22nd.

North America has fared a little worse…

The director of Super Smash Bros., Masahiro Sakurai, has revealed a small change regarding the Hyrule Temple stage for the Wii U version on Miiverse

Since Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS released over a month ago, we haven’t consistently been posting about the “Pic of the Day” feature on the Smash Bros. community on Miiverse – but today was a bit too much to ignore. Although we already knew Hyrule Temple was returning to Super Smash Bros.for Wii U, Sakurai decided to treat us with a beautiful picture of the entire stage with an 8-player smash between the five representatives from the Zelda series. As if this weren’t enough to sate our desire until next Friday, Sakurai was even kind enough to present us with a picture of …

With Super Smash Bros. for Wii U just ten days away for our American readers, it shouldn’t seem all too suprising that Nintendo will be trying to market the game as much as posssible. Super Smash Bros. news has been flowing in these last couple days, as expected, with Nintendo’s American youtube channel presenting us with a new commercial, this time showing off one of the new additions to the game: eight player smash!

Alongside the above…
