Since Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS released over a month ago, we haven’t consistently been posting about the “Pic of the Day” feature on the Smash Bros. community on Miiverse – but today was a bit too much to ignore. Although we already knew Hyrule Temple was returning to Super Smash Bros.for Wii U, Sakurai decided to treat us with a beautiful picture of the entire stage with an 8-player smash between the five representatives from the Zelda series. As if this weren’t enough to sate our desire until next Friday, Sakurai was even kind enough to present us with a picture of Fierce Deity Link, ready to strike.

Additionally, as per usual with the Smash Bros. director, he threw in a bit of a tease with some Hylian text added to stage, visible under Link in the second photo in the gallery below. My Hylian is a bit..rusty, to say the least. Can any of you Zelda linguists out there help us learn what’s hidden within this picture? Also, as many of you know, we have our review copy of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and we’ll have that up next week, as early as we can. Will this be the first stage you play on once you get your copy? More importantly, will you play it with 8-player smash?

Edit: We’ve been informed that the Hylian text says “Smash Brothers”. Many thanks to Zelda Informer user, Connor!
