It’s been awhile since we concluded the week-long stream of this year’s Zelda Dungeon Informer Marathon, and we realize that during the livestream, many people may not have been able to stick around for the whole thing, or even for a whole run. Seven hours of Link’s Awakening is tough for those that have silly things to do like – I don’t know – JOBS, I guess. Luckily, there is YouTube. Recording is a great thing, and the Zelda Dungeon…

Now here is something you don’t see everyday. During the recently concluded Awesome Games Done Quick 2016 speedrun marathon, a race held for A Link to the Past demonstrated a way of playing you may not have seen before: beating every boss in the reverse order. This obviously involves a lot of glitches and wall clips, so expect the game to be broken beyond belief. The winner finished the race in 1:29:47. Also, an interview was held before the race…

In a recent Games Done Quick an all dungeons Master Quest speedrun was completed. This was done in an impressive amount of time, with the end result being 1:40:25. The run was done by ZFG who did very well in his playthrough. This was an entertaining run to watch and in it I learnt lots of tricks that will help me cut back on my time if I choose to attempt a speedrun of it. Check out the video after…

Awesome Games done Quick 2016 is over now, and after a solid week of awesome speedruns and raising just north of 1.2 million dollars, the Games Done Quick YouTube channel is well into the process of posting the runs individually. Just recently they added the Adventure of Link speedrun, which was tool-assisted – completely played through by a pre-programmed set of controller inputs. This means that human error is out the window, so if you are one of the people…

In a recent Games Done Quick, Casusby completed an any percentage speed run of Oracle of Ages. He acheived a time of 1:59:43. Although this is not as fast as the world record of 1:34:48 it is still an impressive feat and something that I am unable to even dream of doing. Coming in at under two hours it is impressive and great to watch, providing hours of entertainment for those who choose to view it.   Check out the…

LackAttack24, an addict gamer and Zelda enthusiast, has claimed first place on the Zelda Speed Runs leaderboards for fastest time playing through the first quest of The Legend of Zelda. In doing so, he has set the world record for fastest playthrough of the game. The timing starts from the moment you gain control of Link (that is, after the select screen), and ends once Link rescues Princess Zelda…

As a wise, old man once said: “It’s dangerous to go alone!” Such a warning should be reason enough for a young boy to pick up a sword before starting his adventure, right? Well, speedrunner jkoper thinks otherwise. During last week’s Summer Games Done Quick marathon, jkoper faced the dangers of the original Legend of Zelda alone and demonstrated a very impressive “Swordless” speedrun…
