Hello readers! Brian here with the eighth installment of “The Best and Worst of Zelda.” I can’t believe this weekly editorial has been going strong for two months already! Today’s topic has been requested by multiple users, most recently Churze, so thanks much to him! Don’t forget to write your ideas for next week in the comments! Princess Zelda, the very princess we have named the legend after. Next to Link, she is arguably the series’ most important character, appearing…

For the first time on Monday Comic Corner we have a comic from Dorkly, CollegeHumor’s sister site about video games. This comic, as you might have guessed, deals with Sheik and Link from Ocarina of Time, except it takes Link’s wonder about the true identity of Sheik in a little different direction. As far as Link is concerned, Sheik is a guy, and Link may be having some mixed feelings about that. Hit the jump to read the comic!

One of my favorite moments in Ocarina of Time was this sequence. When you visit Kakariko Village after completing the Water Temple, you’ll find the village on fire and Sheik standing by the well. He warns Link to get back, before a creepy immaterial force comes out of the well and subdues both Link and Sheik. After which, Sheik explains that this “evil shadow spirit” has been released, and Impa has gone to seal it in the Shadow Temple but…

This week’s Windmill Hut is an in depth review of a YouTube gem known as thomandy. His channel is almost completely dedicated to cover songs on the piano, and a great deal of them are from the Zelda series. At the awesome quality of his performances, I find it astounding that most of his videos don’t have that many views. I believe he deserves to sit among the YouTube Zelda cover artist greats. Jump in to see why.

Zelda is an amazing video game series. Ninjas are awesome. These are facts. It came as no surprise that when Nintendo combined the two and the Sheikah were introduced that tons of fans wanted to see and know more of them. Although we didn’t learn much more about them in Skyward Sword as some fans had hoped, that does not diminish how awesome they are. In a tribute to the race of ninja-esque guardians of the Royal Family of Hyrule,…

I’m happy to announce the return of the Zelda fanart feature here at Zelda Dungeon. Each week, we’ll feature one exceptional piece of fanart from artists around the web in a myriad of artistic mediums and styles. This week, we are spotlighting a digital art piece from Simplicata of DeviantArt. This is an unusually candid scene of Sheik without her scarf over her face and the Triforce of Wisdom glowing on the back of her hand, apparently caught in the…

The folks over at 15 Bit Gamer have recently made available a Sheik-Inspired Hoodie. Selling at the price-point of $54 dollars plus shipping it perhaps is a bit more than I’d be willing to pay. I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I’m going to purchase it, but 15 Bit Gamer has gone ahead and made a special deal for Zelda Dungeon fans. When purchasing the hoodie if you write ZELDADUNGEON as the discount code, the seller…

Sheik is a well known and in many ways controversial character. A fan favorite character, Sheik was Zelda’s disguise in Ocarina of Time. Fans still debate about many aspects of the character, as well as aspects of the mysterious Sheikah race, the enigmatic Shadow Folk who serve the Royal Family of Hyrule. Due to their mysterious yet important past, many fans have discussed the possibility of them appearing in Skyward Sword. I’ve written a theory article about Skyward Sword before,…
