We’re two weeks away from the release of Twilight Princess HD for the Wii U and I’m extremely excited to finally get my hands on it. Putting aside my own eagerness, though, I realize that there are some Zelda fans who aren’t as anxious to play the title in HD when the original title is totally acceptable. In fact, I’ve noticed an interesting debate that’s been circulating around the Zelda community since the game’s announcement, and that was whether game…

Apparently, finding Ocarina of Time 3D has not been a very easy task for some 3DS owners wanting to try out the most famous of Zelda titles. The eShop is always an option, but what about actual copies? Some people want a game they can hold on to, of course. Thankfully, Best Buy stores have reportedly been restocking. Though online listings have already disappeared, it seems, if anyone is really looking to grab a physical copy, then visiting a nearby…

Emulated games are the bane of many companies’ existences. While Nintendo has been putting a lot of measures in place to try and prevent the pirating of games, which is a similar concept, that hasn’t stopped the hacking community nor the emulation community from coming up with viable solutions. Keep in mind that we don’t endorse pirating or emulation – both are illegal according to 99% of user agreements. We prefer anyone…

One of the most iconic shields in the history of gaming is the Mirror Shield from Ocarina of Time, and ever since the release of that game, it’s been a fantasy of every Zelda fan to be able to hold the shield in our own hands.

Well, a life-size replica of the Mirror Shield from Ocarina of Time was uploaded to imgur and Reddit by user gazpacho143 a few weeks ago, and we must say that it looks really awesome. It follows the original design of…

By now, most Zelda fans who care know that Zelda U will most likely not be recieving a 2015 release date. Some fans were blown away and depressed, and some, like me, were still saddened but for the most part accepted this. Aonuma specifically explained the reason for the delay was because of new possibilities of improvement for Zelda U.

What saddens us all is the announcement on Miiverse that Zelda U will not be shown at E3; no demo, no trailer, nothing…

In general, most video games made today have a set order of accomplishing tasks, such as having a director. In fact, the director is often more important than the role of producer, since they manage and often control the entire direction of a game. This is true even in developing remakes and remasters. Oddly enough, Ocarina of Time 3D apparently didn’t have an official director, while Majora’s Mask 3D didn’t get one until half way through development. While the credits do give three people director roles, I wonder if those were just last minute title assignments…

“Hey!” “Watch out!” Fans of Ocarina of Time likely read the first three words of this article in Navi’s voice. Navi aids Link in his quest to fight Ganondorf, but at the end of Ocarina of Time, the fairy mysteriously leaves Link behind. I wanted to delve into what I consider the underlying reason Link went after Navi…

We’re getting a little crazy today and this weekend, as we have two live streams planned, one of which is occurring right now and will be a marathon run through Ocarina of Time 3D by our own ZI Staff member, Al. We’ll then be following that up on Sunday evening with a 3 to 4 hour steam of Hyrule Warriors’ Majora’s Mask DLC! If things work out well for us, we’ll also do a special Valentines Day stream next weekend featuring Majora’s Mask 3D! We hope you enjoy the stream and as always, stay classy ZI fans!

It’s been a while since the release of Nintendo’s first 3D Zelda remake. Physical copies are getting harder and harder to find, so most fans download the game directly to their console now. There is a newly discovered rumor as to why this is is the case.

As many know already, November’s Nintendo Direct held the unforeseen announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D at the beginning of the Direct. Now, being two months since then, we’re only left to speculate what kinds of additions and changes were made to the remake. Addition-wise, there’s a lot they can do with the game, ranging from new quests, to new items, or just nifty little features. But do you think they’ll take the same route that Ocarina…
