Live action Mario vs Link

November 29 2013 by Kev

There are loads of important questions that are yet to be answered; what’s the meaning of life? Is there a ‘correct’ religion? What can we do as individuals that would benefit mankind? And, most importantly, who would win in a fight between Link and Mario? It’s a question that is asked in many different forms, who would win between Batman and Spider-Man? Wolverine and Superman? The possibilities are endless and there are numerous videos showing epic duels between characters but…

Recently, Did You Know Gaming? has shared with us some interesting trivia of the famous voice we all love and know as Mario, and his hopes to potentially voice Link. Voice actor Charles Martinet is widely known for voicing various characters within the Mario series ever since his first Mario debut in 1995. Who knows how he would have interpreted his voice to suit Link? Even though Link hardly speaks, with the exception of his signature variations of “Hay-yah!”, Miyamoto…

In last week’s comic feature with Brawl in the Family we saw a small crossover between Link and Mario’s world. This week, in a bit of a parody of Wife Swap, brentalfloss the comic explored what would happen if Link traversed the Mushroom Kingdom and Mario jumped around Hyrule. In both cases, the minions of Ganondorf and Bowser lose, but Link and Mario seem content with their tasks. Hit the jump to read the comic!

Welcome to Majora’s Memes, where we bring you memetic madness weekly! Like scouring Hyrule Field for bushes that hopefully contain Rupees or bombs or arrows, we search the Internet for Zelda-related laughs. This week we saw better response to the request for help finding those laughs. Special thanks to Bear, Maeta Harunai, and Hero of Time for contributing. Unfortunately, we did not use Bear’s. We try to maintain at least a level of family-friendliness here. Granted, this is the Internet,…

Like scouring Hyrule Field for bushes that hopefully contain Rupees or bombs or arrows, the Internet is searched for Zelda-related laughs. This week, we don’t have as many as we have in past weeks, but we think these finds are as good as any! To start this week off, here’s a twist on an…

The popular webcomic, Brawl in the Family, uploaded a holiday video just a while ago to conclude a few of their recent comics. The video combines parts of Zelda, Kirby, Super Mario Bros., and Pokémon into a short and silly segment, all fitting both their Smash Bros. crossover and holiday themes. If you aren’t tired of the holiday mood we’ve all almost shaken off, hit the jump to see the comics and the video!

With the release of Paper Mario: Sticker Star in North America on Sunday, fans of the 2nd dimensional franchise have started dreaming about a transition towards a spin-off Zelda series revolving around the world of paper. The dreaming has become so intense that a blogger for IGN has written a whole article in a bid to create hype toward Paper Mario developer, Intelligent Systems, producing a franchise labelled “Paper Zelda”. IGN sees a Zelda title revolving around a paper mechanism…

Welcome my fellow Zelda Dungeoners to another week, another Monday, and of course another edition of Flute Boy’s Meadow! Now, regularly this music feature focuses on fan artists and covers of Zelda music, but today I decided to instead bring the spotlight to the guy behind it all: Kōji Kondō. Honestly, of all the video game composers out there, it can be said with 100% certainty that no man’s music is as well known as his. Kondō has composed the…

On September 22nd, Japanese publication My Navi posted the results of a poll they had conducted. They had surveyed the favorite Nintendo franchises for both Japanese men and women, and lo and behold The Legend of Zelda does indeed rank fairly high. How could it not considering its immense library of releases and several blockbuster hits? It seems as if Zelda is a bigger hit for the men than for the women, as it is second only to the Super…
