Update: Winner of Splatoon x The Legend of Zelda Splatfest Event Has Been Decided!

Update: The Splatoon x The Legend of Zelda Splatfest event came to a conclusion last night, and the epic struggle of the Triforce has been decided. Team Power, representing the Great King of Evil Ganondorf, took the top spot in the Splatfest, beating out both Team Courage and Team Wisdom.

As is customary with Splatfest events in Splatoon 3, all participants can expect a payout of Super Sea Snails in-game, with more going to the winning team. So, be sure to claim your Super Sea Snails if you haven’t already!
Original: The last pre-launch trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom dropped yesterday, and the steady stream of Zelda news has not let up since!
Just in time for the release of the upcoming Zelda title, a special crossover event between The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon will be taking place in Splatoon 3 in early May. The Splatoon x The Legend of Zelda Splatfest event will feature three teams, each one based on a piece of the Triforce. Much like the endless struggle between Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf, the Splatfest’s Team Power, Team Wisdom, and Team Courage will duke it out for absolute supremacy!
The Splatoon x The Legend of Zelda Splatfest event will take place from 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET on May 5th to 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET May 7th in Splatoon 3. You can find more information right here.

Excitingly, the Tricolor Turf matches of this Splatfest event will take place on a special version of Splatoon 3‘s Scorch Gorge stage. That triangular structure sure looks familiar!
And that’s not all! This Splatoon – The Legend of Zelda crossover extends to Nintendo’s storefronts as well. Nintendo of America has announced a set of new shirts based on the Splatfest coming soon to the My Nintendo Store. Three shirts, based on the Triforce pieces and their respective bearers, are currently available for pre-order right here (Power, Wisdom, & Courage). Nintendo of America also announced a set of key chains with the same design as My Nintendo physical rewards.

Another merch collection based on the Splatfest, including both the T-shirts and key chains mentioned above, is coming to the Nintendo Tokyo & Osaka stores, as well as the Japanese My Nintendo Store. You can find more information right here.
If you have not yet picked up Splatoon 3, Nintendo of America will be offering a discounted bundle of the game and a three-month membership to Nintendo Switch Online starting April 17th. The game is also currently on sale in the UK and Europe; find more information on that sale can be found here.
