The earlier reported small quantity of copies of Ocarina of Time 3D shipping on release has led to some retailers selling it for much higher than normal prices. More after the jump.

With a suggested retail price of ¥4800, Amazon.com Japan is now selling copies for ¥68,80. Other sources have reported prices as high as ¥7810 due to rising demand and limited availability.

When I first heard about the low number of copies shipping I knew it would eventually lead to some inflated prices. I just never assumed it would happen this soon before the release date. I certainly hope Nintendo can take care of this situation before more retailers take further advantage of the shortage and consumers.

So what do you think? Think we might be seeing some inflated prices for copies over here next month? Have you preordered your copy already? Let us know in the comments below.
