Nintendo today released a video showcasing a professionally constructed Hyrule Castle built entirely in Minecraft. The castle is based on the Breath of the Wild variant and was constructed by Microsoft-certified group “Team Kyo”. They describe it as “Hyrule Castle before the disaster” referring to its state before the Great Calamity in Breath of the Wild.

When asked how they went about this mammoth construction, the team replied:

“By referring to the screenshots and official materials taken in the game, we created a design in 1 block units from the height of the terrain to the width of the building. After that, blocks are piled up while comparing with screenshots.”

The team consisted of 13 people, and the whole build took two months to complete (the planning alone took two weeks!). The inside of the castle is incredibly detailed, and the video showcase takes you through some areas you might find familiar!

The build is currently available to purchase as a map in the Minecraft Store. The video also has some pretty sweet music, so make sure you give it a listen too!
