The recent flood of amazing Skyward Sword related news has been almost overwhelming! Overnight the Nintendo of America Twitter account was blowing up with all sorts of Nintendo related tidbits, including some revelations that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will sport similar features to the recently released Ocarina of Time 3D. These features, as many may have expected, include a hint system, boss battle mode, and second quest! Mr. Miyamoto was referenced as saying that Skyward Sword will be one of the largest games Nintendo has ever produced; giving players 50-100 hours of amazing adventuring fun! Jump inside to read the actual tweets!

Mr. Miyamoto says Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword could have 50-100 hours of gameplay, one of Nintendo’s largest projects EVER!
Did Mr. Miyamoto just announce a second play-through and boss challenge mode for Skyward Sword?
Mr. Miyamoto also announces hint movies in Skyward Sword, similar to Ocarina of Time 3D.

I assumed that Skyward Sword would include a hint system. If you like it or not, it appears that some type of help mechanic has become a mainstay for Nintendo’s first party games. Mario Galaxy 2 and Donkey Kong Country Returns had options that actually beat a level for you, I really hope that the hint system for Skyward Sword doesn’t do anything for you and that it is no more intrusive to the game play than what we saw in Ocarina of Time 3D. The part of this news that has me the most excited is the projected 50-100 hours of play time. I’m assuming that estimation includes both quests and the boss battle mode. Maybe Miyamoto was right when he said Skyward Sword will be the greatest Zelda game to date!

Chime in with your thoughts about these announcements. Do you welcome a hint system? Is 50-100 hours of game play what you’ve been begging for in a Zelda game? Does the boss battle mode interest you?
