Since its first appearance in Ocarina of Time, the Temple of Time has become one of the most iconic location in the series. The massive cathedral-like structure is considered hallowed ground for Hylians, and it is rest place of the Master Sword in several Zelda titles. The music that plays in the Temple of Time is based off of the “Song of Time” featured in Ocarina of Time. This origin version of the song makes the location feel mysterious and sacred.

This “Temple of Time” remix by Munx Gregoriana is a fascinating take on the classic Zelda song. Munx Gregoriana is a Gregorian style vocal ensemble from Helsinki, Finland. Gregorian chants are an extremely old form of music; the musical style dates all the way back to 9th and 10th century Europe. The name “Gregorian” comes from Pope Gregory I (a former leader of the Catholic Church). Gregorian Chants are created solely using human voices, and this gives these musical pieces their distinct sound and tone.

Overall, I would love to see this arrangement of “Temple of Time” in a future Zelda title. This remix by Munx Gregoriana would be the perfect fit for a version of the Temple of Time in its full glory. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom depicted a version of the Temple of Time that has fallen into ruins, and the music that plays in the location is sparse but beautiful. Hopefully, a future Zelda title can include a grander, more majestic Temple of Time where a remix like this one would be more fitting.
