hyrule-warriors-guideUp until now, details have been scarce concerning what would be included in the official guide for Hyrule Warriors. However, Prima Games has opted to disclose information on everything that will be included with the guide, should you choose to purchase it. Are you curious about its contents?

Hit the jump to learn more!

For starters, the Hyrule Warriors Prima guide is hardcover and is wrapped in the game’s beautiful cover art.

As one might expect, the Prima guide provides all of the necessary data you would need in order to completely 100% the game. To be more specific, it includes the following information:

  • Labeled maps
  • Strategies for the various game modes and levels
  • Lists of collectables and items, including locations for all hidden chests
  • Weapon information

In addition, every playable character, both good and evil, will have an in-depth analysis of combat details and tactics. Furthermore, information concerning what each character can unlock in certain levels, as well as the locations of allies, will be provided. Prima also divulges information regarding each character’s role in the story, so you may want to avoid that section if you’re wary of spoilers.

As we discovered from the Hyrule Warriors Nintendo Direct, badges can be crafted from various items and Rupees you find while playing the game. These badges act as augmentations or upgrades for characters and abilities. Not only is the complete badge list provided, but all of the necessary materials, including an enemy drop list, are included. As an RPG veteran, I assure you that an enemy drop list is a godsend for anyone planning to 100% a game.

The Bazaar is the location where badges are crafted, but it also serves as a hub for creating weapons, increasing a character’s level, and even making potions. The guide will include all of the necessary information for those features as well.

Finally, a bonus section containing over 70 pages of Hyrule Warriors art is also present. If you’re interested in how Hyrule Warriors even came to exist in the first place, developer interviews may also be found in this additional section. Prima notes that the guide author himself will be giving fans exclusive strategies and details as the release date draws closer, so that should give you a little taste of what kind of information to expect, if you’re a little hesitant about buying it right now.

While I typically never use guides, I’m a sucker for game artwork, so I think I may be picking this guide up after all. What about you? Does this new information make you more inclined to purchase the guide?

As always, we will be providing our own Hyrule Warriors Walkthrough once the game releases in September.
