Get Ready For Halloween As The Zelda Dungeon Team Conjures Up Their Own Zelda-Themed Jack-O’-Lanterns!

The scaaaaariest time of the year has finally arrived, and the Zelda Dungeon team wanted to celebrate! Since we can’t summon ReDeads or take a stroll through the Arbiter’s Grounds in real life, we decided to do the next best thing: combine our love of Zelda with our love of Halloween by creating some ghoulish and ghastly Zelda-themed jack-o’-lanterns!

…Okay, so most of our pumpkins aren’t exactly ghoulish or ghostly or even scary really (well, maybe Majora is kinda creepy), but they ARE Zelda themed, and we wanted to show them off to all of our readers before we show them off to the world on All Hollows’ Eve. Load up on your hearts, summon your courage, and get ready to take a trudge through the pumpkin patch with some of Zelda Dungeon’s CREEPIEST editors!

TRIFORCE TERRORS

Let’s take a look at the classic, tried-and-true symbol of the Legend of Zelda series.

As you saw in the featured image of this post, this is my own (Andy Spiteri) carving of the classic pumpkin lit up at night, and it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself.

 

Judy is giving me a run for my money though with the tag team combo of not only a fantastic looking Triforce, but a PlayStation pumpkin for backup!

 

NIGHTMARE NAVI

Who hasn’t heard, “HEY. LISTEN.” in their nightmares before? Heather cooked up this pumpkin with Link’s trusty companion on it!

Getting in on the companion fun was Samantha, who had another fairy to offer.

 

 

CREEPY CD-I

Mike conjured up a true terror — Ganon from the already-frightening CD-i games.

 

HORRIFYING HEARTS

Okay, this is actually pretty wholesome, but let’s just imagine running out hearts! You don’t want that! This lovely pumpkin was hand crafted by Alexandria!

 

SCARY SHEIKAH

Sean cooked up this Sheikah homage, evoking memories of the Mask of Truth.

 

MENACING MAJORA

Our very own David Lasby is making sure everyone that dares trick or treat at his doorstep meets a terrible fate!

 

SCREAMING SHIELDS

This jack-o’-lantern from David Nystrom might actually be pretty comforting to any trick-or-treaters, since everyone knows there’s nothing better than a good shield.
