For many Zelda fans, the distinct heart shape, bulging eyes, and rainbow-colored features of Majora’s Mask is a unique and iconic design. This mask manages to conjure up feelings of dread and nostalgia in equal measure for the much-loved video game of the same name. But would you want a statue of it sitting on your desk?

Well, First4Figures has announced that a Majora’s Mask PVC statue is currently in the works. Back in 2017, we took a look at the resin and updated exclusive versions which, according to First4Figures’ Miguel Galvez, “still holds the title as their best-selling resin collectible to date.” If you missed the pre-orders for the resin statues or might be wary of ordering such a large piece, you could be in luck here. According to the First4Figures blog, the new PVC statue ” retains those intricate mask textures and vibrant colors the original resin version is known for.”

The blog doesn’t go into much further detail about the statue’s special features, but from their Facebook post, it does tell us that this PVC statue will not be a life-sized version. This may please some fans as the horns on the original apparently caused collectors a few display cabinet issues! The pros and cons of PVC versus resin will no doubt also inspire heated debates. Personally, I prefer PVC material as it can be heartbreaking when an accidental knock causes damage.

As always, when more details become available we’ll let you know. Are you excited for another Majora’s Mask statue? Have you been disappointed by resin statues in the past, but might give the PVC version a go? What special features are you hoping for? Let us know in the comments below!
