Alright, how’s life treating you? My name is Alison, and I live in the town famous for someone picking up a ball and running with it! I’m a recent addition to the Zelda Dungeon team and volunteer as an editor. I’ve been playing Zelda games for about twenty years now and thoroughly look forward to the next twenty. I love to delve into the world of Japanese culture and mythology to see how it has inspired many a video game including Zelda of course. I visited Japan back in 2013 and it was the most amazing holiday of my life so far!

As well as being a gamer, I like to read manga. The recent Twilight Princess manga by Akira Himekawa has some absolutely gorgeous artwork of Link and I can’t wait for the next installment. I find there’s nothing better than settling down with a decent anime on a cold, dark winter evening. My current faves are Haikyu!! Which is a volleyball sports anime with a vertically challenged main protagonist called Hinata. Ookami to Koushinryou is part romance and part economics lesson, which sees a merchant called Kraft pairing up with a wolf deity known as Holo as they travel around the country.

The first Zelda I played was Ocarina of Time and this has stayed with me over the years. Originally, I didn’t even want to play the game as I heard it was about a bunch of fairies! Luckily my big bro managed to help me see the error of my ways, and I was soon squeezed to death by a re-dead in the Royal Family Tomb. I still have nightmares to this day…
