Fi is a Slow Talker

From past experience, it seems that Zelda fans enjoy comics based on the series. I can’t say that I blame them, either. Earlier, a comic was posted to Dorkly by none other than Brawl in the Family. Everyone who has played Skyward Sword should know that Fi, however helpful she can be at times, talks like she has all the time in the world. Just because everything that moves on its own in the game pauses when she speaks doesn’t mean that Link has nothing more important to do. Shown below is a somewhat exaggerated situation (though still amusing) that seems completely possible when you’re reading through some of the information Fi gives you. Interesting? Yes. True? Somewhat. I think my favorite part about it is watching the time pass by in the background. Seeing the Faron Woods industrialize and crumble all within the time that Fi takes to say something obvious made me appreciate that she isn’t as slow as she could be. However obnoxious it can get when she tells you, “Master, the batteries in your Wii remote are nearly depleted,” she does occasionally tell you something interesting and useful. Altogether, it is a good comic.
