Fanfiction Friday: “The Doppelganger”

Last week on Fanfiction Friday we covered “Succession” by our fan Kim. It told a story about Dark Link‘s first few days in existence. This week, we bring yet another story about Dark Link, making it three out of four stories covered about this shadowy and mysterious character.

The story is called “The Doppelganger” by ScooterJLM, and it is a detailed look into the famous Water Temple fight from Ocarina of Time. Being Zelda fans, we all know how the fight ends, but we also know that the adventure is what counts. That’s what makes this story so enjoyable: it gives a cinematic image to one of the most memorable showdowns in the history of gaming. Link is reminded time and time again that he is facing himself and he must find his own weakness, and overcome it, to triumph.
