Welcome back to Fan Fiction Friday…on Saturday. I promise I don’t do this on purpose; I really try to get these out on Fridays. Last week, we were introduced to K’ger’s story, “Silence is Golden”: the exciting adventure of Link, the thief who became a hero. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, I strongly suggest it. This week, Vopi has asked us to share their story, “Kasuto’s Redemption”.

What begins as a simple trip to Castle Town spirals into a fight for the world’s survival. In the process, battles are raged, relationships are formed, sacrifices are made, lives are changed, and the secrets of the past surface to the present. –

It excites me to see that almost every week, consistently, we have another fan share their work to be featured on Fan Fiction Friday. I enjoy getting the opportunity to showcase your work and promote your stories, along with the positive feedback that is received. So before we get started, let me thank you all for your continued support. Last week, we got a peak into the future of Hyrule through the eyes of writer LinksLily with her story “According to Legend”. If you haven’t taken the time to check that one out or missed last week, it is definitely worth your time to go back and read it. This week…

Last week, we were introduced to a fun story about Rupin of Skyward Sword fame, to which there honestly weren’t a lot of responses. I place the blame on myself for not getting it out on Friday, and unfortunately, today is no exception. However, I highly suggest that you take the time to read it, as well as this weeks entry, if you haven’t already. “According to Legend” by LinksLily is a massive and fantastical story that takes place long after the known events of the Zelda timeline. At this point, the stories of legend have been collected into a historical “bible”, but evil has returned and the legend continues to be written into history…

I’m getting really bad at this “keeping up with the weekday” thing, and I sincerely apologize. It’s been two weeks since we presented “Majora’s Mask’s Origins” and it received some favorable responses. This week, I’m hoping to lighten the mood of fans that are missing this weekly feature by offering a comedy. I will respect the writer’s actions taken to remain anonymous here at ZI, but on FanFiction.net they go by the name Xandra Fox. Xandra has created a comedic story following the quirky and fun-loving Rupin the Gear Peddler from Skyward Sword. If you have played the game, you will undoubtedly have seen his shop in Skyloft, where he is waiting to bombard potential customers as they walk by. He happily greets you with an “Ooooohhhhh” (I hope you read that in his high, throaty voice) and offers you some really great items that he just happened…

Happy Friday everyone! Well, unless you work weekends. If that’s the case, I feel your pain. Sorry I missed last week’s Fan Fiction Friday. I was away getting married. Two weeks ago, we featured a great story titled “Behind the Mask” by CrimsonVoid. This week, the “mask” theme continues as we recall a suggested story from our fan FCL a few weeks back. “Majora’s Mask’s Origins” by Hylian Harmony explains itself in the title alone. The story fits very well into the dark atmosphere that Majora’s Mask was famous for creating. It fits so well in fact, that I personally could accept this as actual lore. Legends are told whether they are true to history or not, and this story creates something befitting to the series…

Last week, we were treated to a fun sequel to the fan favorite Majora’s Mask and were even surprised to find out that the adventure is not yet over. This week, we are celebrating the release of Hyrule Warriors with our most recent fan submitted work, “Behind This Mask” by CrimsonVoid. The story loosely plays out a scenario that may be familiar to Disney fans and puts our heroes in the middle of a war…

I really enjoy Fridays. I get to share another fan fiction from one of our fans to the Zelda Informer community, and it’s a wonderful feeling to see the impact that it has on readers and writers. Last week, Oni shared a story of the characters behind their masks, and many of us are happy to find that the story isn’t over. Speaking of masks, our story this week is a sequel to the classic Majora’s Mask for N64. Link is gone from the land of Termina, but an evil force still lingers…

Last week on Fan Fiction Friday, we introduced crossovers into our weekly segment with “In The Beginning”. This week, we are taking the story away from Hyrule and into the lives of a Link and Zelda of the modern age. Oni, under the FanFiction.net name of ScooterJLM, tells a deep story based on true events and characterized by our heroes. “The Soul Beneath” is broken into two chapters. Each chapter details a third person perspective of Link and Zelda consecutively and how they handle their personal struggles in the given situation…

How is it already Friday again? Regardless of my lack of time management, it’s time to feature another fan fiction in our weekly segment. Last week, Laura threw us for a loop with a story that seemed to have such a definitive ending, and I can’t wait to continue it. This week, we are featuring another story based around our beloved princess. It’s yet another feature that has not reached completion, but it is our first crossover story. It follows Princess Zelda on her journey to the Super

Last week on Fan Fiction Friday, we experienced the untold story of Ilia‘s childhood and what happened to her mother. This week we’re getting back to some fan service by turning the tables on the whole series. For 27 years we have traversed the lands of Hyrule as Link, venturing to save the beautiful Princess Zelda. Laura tells the story of a peasant named Zelda and her interactions with the Prince of Hyrule, Link. This story swaps the roles of our beloved heroes…
