Fan Fiction Friday: “Rude Awakening”

My sincerest apologies to fans of our new weekly segments for missing Fan Fiction Friday this past week and a half as we try to adjust our teams for our daily features. Excuses aside, let’s jump right back into it with another one of our fan submitted pieces. This week, we are featuring the work of our fan Kim, who tells a story about Dark Link’s first days of life.

Rude Awakening portrays a new twist on Dark Link‘s uprising as a new being. He wakes from his creation confused, wondering who he is and how he got here. He quickly starts to regain memories of his lighter past, but is forced to push those images aside and concentrate on following the orders of his new master, King Ganondorf. I don’t want to delve too far into the story, but it is worth checking out for yourself. Kim has stated that the story is not yet complete, but it still a fun read and a thought provoking take on the origin of one of the most popular villains in the Zelda series.
