UntitledOperation Moonfall, the continuing campaign to get a 3D remake of Majora’s Mask, has just received a rather large update. The people running the Operation have given new opportunities for fans to get involved and show Nintendo that they are serious when they say that Majora’s Mask should have a remake.

Check out the campaign news after the jump!

Two major campaigns will be open for the public to be involved in, for April, May and June.

The first, starting in April, will be a graffiti campaign. Now, as the primary article states, this does NOT mean go out and start plastering Zelda-related spray paintings on walls and such. The idea is, using the template below, to draw a picture on any LEGALLY AVAILABLE surface, label it “#OPMoonfall”, and tweet a picture to it to @NintendoAmerica.

The photos taken can also be posted to Operation Moonfall Facebook page, and the three best pictures will be awarded with campaign posters.

The second campaign, happening in May during E3, will be the “Happy Mask Campaign”. Fifteen Zelda fan artists will be chosen to create their own custom-designed Majora’s Mask replica, and they will be live blogging their progress. At the end of May, the finished pieces will go on sale, with 50% of the profits going to the artists, and the rest going to charity. At the end of the campaign, a custom Operation Moonfall mask will be mailed to Nintendo with pictures of the fan-made masks to continue the efforts of nudging Nintendo in the direction of Majora’s Mask 3D. Three artists have already been chosen, but the other 12 spots are open to the public! The guidelines are a bit strict, but follow what the original article says (a link is provided below) and apply by April 14th, and you could be one of the lucky artists involved.

With enough public interest, there may even be a separate contest for anyone else that wishes to make their own mask design!

Aonuma has stated in the past that, with enough public interest, Majora’s Mask 3D is certainly a possibility, so this whole campaign may very well meet its goal if this new set of ideas pulls through. I am not a huge fan of the movement, personally, but I would not hesitate to buy Majora’s Mask 3D if I saw it on store shelves, and I know a lot of other people feel the same way, so good luck to the Operation’s administrators!

What do you guys think? Will you guys be participating? Is this enough for Nintendo to see how much people love Majora’s Mask? Leave a comment!
