Harvest festivals begin to abound this time of year. A wonderful opportunity to play games, run around the pumpkin patch or the corn maze, and reconnect with seasonal favorite foods and traditions, these fall gatherings hold a powerful aesthetic energy that encourages warm memory-making and bonding with family and friends. My town is looking forward to an annual fall race followed by our beloved Halloween parade event in the coming weeks and we boast an enthusiastic brewing scene that comes alive every October.

All this has made me start thinking about how the inhabitants of Hyrule might ring in the harvest in ways we would enjoy, so I’ll put the question to you: which Zelda location would host the best fall festival?

Breath of the Wild’s Akkala region is one of the most obvious locations when it comes to fall aesthetics and I know I would love to attend any celebration in Tarrey Town. Skyward Sword’s Lumpy Pumpkin pub would also be another clear candidate for themed seasonal celebration. But personally, the best fall festival I can think of would bring the energy of The Minish Cap’s Picori Festival to the pastoral dusky abodes of Twilight Princess’ Ordon Village. I can easily envision a lovely festival attracting folks from all over, with booths for storytelling and selling homegrown wares. Villagers and visitors alike could compete in goatherding contests, celebrate the village’s harvest and all the farmers’ hard work, and honor the presence and protection of the local Light Spirit Ordona.

These are my thoughts; but what about you? Which Zelda locale would you most favor for a fall festival experience? Let us know where and why down below!
