Daily Debate: Which Classic Zelda Enemy Do You Wish Was In Breath Of The Wild?

Breath of the Wild saw the return of quite a few classic baddies from throughout the Zelda series. From Lynels, to Lizalfos, to Hinox, to Bokoblins, to Moblins, familiar foes such as these were in no short supply. That said, not everybody got the invitation to Link’s latest adventure. It’s a shame, too, as many of them would have felt right at home in this iteration of Hyrule.

Some of my favorite encounters in both The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are against Darknuts. In the latter especially, there’s an intimidating, yet noble quality to them that– for a Zelda enemy– is pretty refreshing. And fighting three of them at once in the Cave of Ordeals? Legendary stuff. Those guys would have loved aimlessly wandering around Breath of the Wild’s Hyrule Castle and the various shrines.

Although there are plenty of small-to-medium-sized monsters to slay, I wish we had seen a few more large-scale overworld bosses like the Hinox and Molduga. As terrified as I was of the sleeping Hinox in the Shrouded Shrine quest, how cool would it have been to run into Gohma there?! That dark, spooky maze just seems like her kind of place, you know?
