New Year’s Eve is an important celebration for many, incorporating a variety of festivities for commemorating the completion of one year and the arrival of another. From fireworks to parties, we humans aren’t dry on ways to celebrate this event. Where would you spend this holiday in the world of Zelda?

I love festivities, and a New Year’s Eve celebration without fire works just won’t do. I love the coming together of people to celebrate events, the rich, mutual energy, as if everything is at peace. I also enjoy a gathering of friends and family, familiar faces to ring in the new year. In fact, I prefer that. Honestly, I’m torn. As much as I’d enjoy celebrating with my loved ones in a cabin on Lake Hylia or out in Hyrule Field, sharing mead and watching fireworks light up the wilderness… I’d also love celebrating in Castle Town, among the grand architecture and various denizens of Hyrule. Though, given my tradition of ringing in the new year at my family’s lake house, I think I’d take a nice cabin with friends and family resting on the beaches of Lake Hylia, specifically the one from Twilight Princess, as I find it the most beautiful of them all.

Although, now that I think about it, I’d love to spend it on a sky island, watching the fireworks come bursting from below, as my own soar high into the sky.
