‘Tis the season for all things merry, bright, and hopefully Zelda-themed! I say this because I’m usually lucky enough to receive some type of Zelda merch at Christmas time. I’ve been gifted some cracker presents in my day, ranging from Zelda games, to officially licenced merch, to handmade collectibles created by some very talented Etsy sellers. Every item holds a special place in my heart because it’s either super cool, or has a very fond memory behind it.

One of my favorite Zelda-themed presents was a Breath of the Wild jig-saw puzzle. I loved the puzzle itself but I especially enjoyed putting it together with my loved one. Another wonderful gift that I received at Christmas was Hyrule Historia, which I absolutely scoured for information, memorizing series lore. (It’s just a pity that recent interviews with series producer Eiji Aonuma makes certain lore elements feel almost worthless now.) But my absolute favorite thing to find under the tree? That was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time — the game that introduced me to the series. Without that first Zelda-themed Christmas present, I never would have found joy in the games and the love within this wonderful community.

I’d love to hear about your favorite Zelda-themed Christmas presents, and why you think they were the best. Tell me everything in the comments below!
