It seems such a long time since the news about the sequel to Breath of the Wild dropped, that it was in development and that the game was cloaked in mysterious lore that is hard to predict even now. Fans are desperate for any nugget of information, even if it’s just the subtitle that comes after the words “The Legend of Zelda”. The title of a game, after all, is meant to encapsulate the plot and the themes, to both hint at things to come and additionally make even more sense when the game is concluded. But perhaps there is a Zelda title that falls short of this purpose, that doesn’t quite reach what it meant to say. Perhaps it is a touch too vague, a touch too specific, or just all together the wrong fit.

It’s honestly hard to choose for me, since I have become so accustomed to how these games have been named. However, if I were to choose one to potentially rename, it would be The Minish Cap. I wholeheartedly love the game itself, yet considering the title I feel that it is a bit too literal, that perhaps it could have been named “Secret of the Minish” or “Unmeasurable Courage”.

What do you think? What Zelda game subtitle would you rethink? Is the game one of your favorites or not so much? Let us know in the comments below!
