Despite how some of my Breath of the Wild-themed Daily Debates have been framed throughout the past few years, I adore that game. Like many of you, I believe it has ushered in a bold direction for the series — one that boasts seemingly limitless potential. That said, no video game is perfect. Heck, Twilight Princess — my all-time favorite game — has its fair share of flaws. With Breath of the Wild 2, the Zelda team has a golden opportunity to address some of the original title’s shortcomings.

I’m curious, though — if the developers could significantly improve only one major aspect for the sequel, then what would you want that to be? Admittedly, I’ll be cheating a bit with my answer, as I’ve already spoken at length about improvements I’d like from the main quest — dungeon design, especially. Aside from those, I primarily want to see more in-depth, honest-to-goodness side quests. Excluding a small handful of exceptions, Breath of the Wild’s side missions came across more like generic fetch quests than genuine side stories. Certainly, not all of them need to be on Majora’s Mask’s level. However, a greater emphasis on meaningful secondary adventures — complete with unique scenarios and memorable characters — would go a long way toward enriching this iteration of Hyrule.

Again, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Which change or improvement do you most want to see from this sequel? Let us know in the comments below!
