In case you missed it, yesterday a trailer was leaked for Hyrule Warriors. It appears as if the game will be coming to the 3DS, with new playable characters Tetra and the King of Red Lions. However, there is one aspect of the trailer that seemed a little odd to me. After the trailer supposedly ends, there is a bonus scene in which Tetra pulls a gold ocarina out of a treasure chest. What could this mean? Today, we call upon you to hear your ideas on what it could be.

My first thought was that it might be an Easter egg for Zelda U. Maybe we will see the return of the ocarina, which hasn’t made an appearance since The Minish Cap in 2005 (excluding Ocarina of TIme 3D and Majora’s Mask 3D). Since no Zelda U trailer or demo will be seen during this year’s E3 according to Aonuma, it would make sense that Nintendo would show off an Easter egg instead.

Another possibility is that it will be a new upcoming item for Hyrule Warriors 3DS. If you buy Hyrule Warriors 3DS, Tetra and the King of Red Lions will be able to be unlocked on the Wii U version. Maybe this will be true for the gold ocarina as well. Will this item be an item that only Tetra can use, or will all characters be able to use it? Only the higher-ups in Nintendo know!

What do you think? Do my two ideas sound plausible, or do you have a different theory? Please share with us your thoughts below.
