Daily Debate: What Aspect of Breath of the Wild 2 Do You Hope We Learn More About Next?

Details regarding Breath of the Wild 2 have been scarce since its unveiling at E3 2019. Beyond what was shown in the game’s announcement trailer, all we know is that the sequel was born from a desire to “revisit that Hyrule.” What Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma exactly means by that remains to be seen, but the possibilities have plagued my thoughts throughout these past seven months.

Whenever Nintendo shows the game off again, I hope we’re given a clearer picture of where this story takes place. I mean, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous about the idea of revisiting the same incarnation of Hyrule two games in a row. Of course, I fully expect the developers to include new locations within that sandbox, but will these additions be enough to make the world itself feel new again? Were the trailer and Aonuma’s comments just playing coy, with the game taking place in Hyrule for only the first twenty minutes or so? As of right now, that’s what has me the most curious.
