Dungeons filled to the brim with hordes of enemies have been highly featured in recent games in the Zelda series. Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker each shared notable optional dungeons showcasing unique levels with fearsome challenges. Cave of Ordeals (Twilight Princess) and Savage Labyrinth (The Wind Waker) gave players an opportunity on major consoles to traverse floors upon floors of enemies, each more difficult than the next.

While Breath of the Wild did not include this style of optional dungeon, I am curious if the sequel to this landmark game will include this unique, optional challenge. If Shrines are expected to make a return, I would hope that multi-level Shrines could be developed to incorporate several floors of difficult enemies. The sequel to Breath of the Wild could even take a note from Age of Calamity, to experiment with having floors willed with various elemental powered enemies, like Ice Moblins.
