Daily Debate: Should Breath of the Wild 2 Feature Naval Exploration?

A few months ago we asked if the sequel to Breath of the Wild should have underwater swimming; I came up with this idea while playing Immortals Fenyx Rising because it did have this feature (though it was required sparsely). After moving on from Immortals, lately I have been taking to the Caribbean seas in Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag. Its naval exploration and combat is as satisfying as I remembered, and it got me thinking, it’d be cool if Zelda offered naval exploration again!
When I saw how much water the map of Breath of the Wild contained, I found myself imagining segments where Link can control a boat, explore the sea to reach new islands, find treasures, fight aquatic enemies, and other side content. Something like The Wind Waker I suppose, but these areas would not be very big compared to the rest of the explorable land mass. I think it could be interesting if the upcoming sequel went this route. Maybe pair this with underwater swimming, and bring fishing back, and then we’d have something really epic!
Would you be interested in taking to the seas again in a future Zelda game? How much explorable water should there be? Tell us in the comments below!
