I’m not ashamed to admit that I have my fair share of struggles with playing Zelda games. Although some of us these days could probably play some of the titles in our sleep, first play throughs aren’t quite as smooth. Even the best of players groan at certain mini games and gripe about this boss or that boss. Most of the time, Zelda games are a fantastic experience, but I’m sure we’ve all seen our share of the dreaded “Game Over” screen.

I recently finished Oracle of Seasons, and the final boss of that game was definitely of those moments where my perseverance was tested amongst many “Game Over” screens. However, not including the ten minutes I could bear The Adventure of Link, the game I died most in would probably be Breath of the Wild. That game is comprised of tons of experimentation, and risks at that, and a lot of deaths come from just being a bit too reckless. It’s one of the few games where my character runs out of health and I 100% blame myself, no game design errors or steep difficulty curves, just me knowing I could have done better. Failure, after all, is just another way to learn.

What do you think? Which death screen did you see the most? Which of “Game Over” screens is the best? Which Zelda game did you see it the least? Let us know in the comments below!
