I love replaying the Zelda games, but there are parts of them that I would rather not experience again. From challenging dungeons to certain boss fights, there’s always a part of me that wishes I could skip over these certain experiences and be able to enjoy the game without reliving the moments that frustrated me to no end.

If there was a dungeon that I could skip, it would be Vah Rudania from Breath of the Wild. Not only did I not find the puzzles to be particularly engaging (the whole “start navigating the dungeon in total darkness” mechanic wasn’t great), but on top of that, I had a horrible time figuring out how to beat the boss. I couldn’t tell you how many times I had to restart because, for some reason, I couldn’t identify how to beat it. Sometimes there are aspects of the puzzles or boss fights in the Zelda series that royally boggle my mind, and this was definitely one of those situations. I have so many bad memories with this fight and dungeon that I would literally do anything else except play through it again. I’m not a huge fan of the Water Temple from Ocarina of Time, but I would rather play through that dungeon again before this one. When I inevitably revisit Breath of the Wild in preparation for its sequel, Vah Rudania is the dungeon I may seriously consider skipping over. But at least Daruk’s ability is really solid, so that’s a plus.

What do you think? Which dungeon would you skip in a Zelda playthrough if you had to pick? Let us know in the comments!
