The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be here before we know it! Rumors have been flying for the last two years, along with wishes for what players hope to see in the new game. Breath of the Wild featured many over world mini-bosses, the Devine Beasts had an end “dungeon” boss, and then you finally face Calamity Ganon, but do you hope for more large scale bosses in Tears of the Kingdom?

I really did like the smaller mini-bosses that dotted the map in Breath of the Wild. It made exploring feel dangerous at times because sometimes you would happen upon a sleeping Hinox or a Lynel’s stopping grounds unexpectedly. Though after some time and experience those became “easy” battles. At times I felt that Breath of the Wild was not difficult enough. When I played in Master Mode it gave me the desired challenge I craved, but I often felt that Breath of the Wild’s  four large scale “dungeons” did not pose enough of a challenge in a final boss. The only boss I genuinely struggled with was Thunderblight Ganon, but I fought him early on in my very first play through. When I think of good Zelda bosses I think of the bosses from Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. The battles felt long and complex. Those bosses felt worthy of the dungeon’s puzzles and challenges. Breath of the Wild often times left me wanting more in a boss fight. I want to feel that pressure to win. I often didn’t feel that from Breath of the Wild. First phase Calamity Ganon did feel worth of an end game challenge, but Dark Beast Ganon, in my opinion, was too easy.

One of my hopes for Tears of the Kingdom, among the many hopes and wishes that I have, is to see some complex and challenging bosses that we have seen in past Zelda games. Those are my thoughts, now I want to hear yours. Do you wish for larger bosses in Tears of the Kingdom? Let us know in the comments down below.
