Check Out This Astonishing 16-Bit Rendition of The Song of Storms

The Song of Storms is one of the most iconic songs from 1998’s Ocarina of Time. Many of us are so intimately familiar with this particular tune that it can be surprising to think that it didn’t exist before the Nintendo 64. Well, a new rendition of the Song of Storms by Loeder has translated the Nintendo 64-era song into a 16-bit style, proving that the tune would have fit perfectly in A Link to The Past.
This is an interesting song to reorchestrate in 16-bit, as A Link to The Past is well known for its opening sequence which involves a journey through the rain. Luckily, the song still feels quite different from ALttP‘s impressively foreboding opening. As a fan of Ocarina of Time, it feels strange to hear the Song of Storms in a 16-bit style, but it is always exciting to see what happens to an iconic song when it is presented in a different style or format.
