Hey, everybody! We are back with another Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest! It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a full year since we saw the debut trailer for Breath of the Wild‘s sequel. And it’s definitely hard to accept the possibility that we won’t see another glimpse of the game any time in the near future. The extreme desire for official Zelda news has become a bit of a punch-line in the Zelda Dungeon staff room, especially with the week that would have been E3 now upon us. So, to quench the frustration a little bit, we’ve got a Breath of the Wild 2-themed image for this week’s contest.

Last Week’s Contest:

We had a few laughs and discussed the possibility of a Spirit Tracks remake last week.

Here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • Otwl: “Thomas felt he would never understand the Fat Controller’s obsession with cosplay.”
  • IceRod: Link: “Finally, a companion who isn’t too mouthy.”
    Thomas: “Hey, Link. Listen!”
    Link: “Not again!”
  • Tober: “New boss in botw2 confirmed”
  • Undercover Gamer: “Navi when you don’t listen”
  • Valor: “Just imagine Thomas with a knife and you’ve got yourself a horror movie plot.”

This Week’s Contest:

I’ve literally picked the Breath of the Wild 2 reveal trailer clean for contest images already. So, here’s a great piece of fan art by Stephen J. Plant.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
