Brace Yourself Games, the developer for Cadence of Hyrule, has announced that the DLC story campaign featuring Skull Kid is now live and available to play.
Packaged as part of patch 1.4.0, the update includes Skull Kid as a playable character, along with a brand new story mode featuring the character, two new game modes (puzzle mode and arena mode), five additional music tracks (different from the previous DLC music pack), two new dungeons, new towns and map areas, and a number of tile sets, weapons, and traps.
The update also modifies existing game elements, such as adding a projectile effect to Link’s spin attack, changing the Zoras to breathe ice rather than fire, and causing the Tingle Tuner to always play regardless of a console’s rumble settings. Finally, the update fixed a number of troublesome bugs, making game play smoother and eliminating glitches.
The Cadence of Hyrule: Symphony of the Mask DLC can be purchased individually ($9.99 USD) or as part of the Season’s Pass ($14.99 USD) on the Nintendo eShop. A physical version of Cadence of Hyrule, complete with all the DLC, will release on October 23rd for $39.99 USD.
