Breath of the Wild Glitch Lets Players Instantly Recharge Runes
Posted on May 15 2018 by Rod Lloyd
Throughout my adventure in Breath of the Wild, I spent a lot of time waiting for my Runes — namely Stasis — to recharge between uses. The wait was more of a minor annoyance than anything, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t long for faster cool-down times on certain occasions. Well, Breath of the Wild glitch hunters have struck again with a new game exploit that will instantly recharge one’s Runes. Kotaku recently uploaded a video outlining the discovery of the glitch and showcasing how the whole thing works.
Kotaku notes in the video above that this new glitch was discovered by Reddit user paradox_guardian. After using a Rune such as Stasis, players can enter the pause menu and view a cutscene from Link’s memories to instantly reset that Rune, as well as Link’s stamina. While the process may take too much time in some circumstances, Kotaku points out that the glitch’s real usefulness applies to Stasis launches and speedrunning.
By using the new exploit, players can now perform multiple Stasis launches at one time, as well change direction of a launch in midair. Kotaku’s video demonstrates how players will be able to zip up mountains or across fields with relative ease using this new glitch. Surely we’ve only seen the start of what this glitch is capable of, so I’m super excited to see what the community will learn to do with it.
